When it comes to Fish and Chips, Haddock & Cod are the most eaten species in the UK. It's important for us that species are able to reproduce and maintain healthy levels of stock. Our Haddock & Cod are sourced from the freshwaters of the Icelandic and Norwegian oceans, where Cod stocks are the fastest growing in the world. By being a part of a sustainable supply chain of these species, we try to take great care in order to avoid impacting the balance of an ocean's ecosystem.
Despite this, there is no denying the balance of the oceans have been impacted on a vast scale and the future does seem uncertain for the Fish & Chip shop trade under current circumstances. As a result, we've decided actions speak louder than words and we've introduced a new sustainable fish to our menu. As a member of the Cod family, our new addition, Hake has grabbed the attention of many conscious buyers and will clearly succeed the likes of Cod & Haddock in the near future. If you are conscious as we all should be, Hake is the fish you should be eating.
